480GB Black iPod Classic 5th Generation (ROCKBOX)

Apple iPod 5th Generation upgraded to 480GB SSD.

This original Apple iPod Video has been altered to house a 480GB SSD. Being based on the Apple iPod Video, this version of the iPod has the best sound quality created by Apple through the use of the Wolfson DAC, which is better than the current 7th gen chip.

The iPod is lighter than the original and has a battery life of around 7-8 hours of continuous audio play (due to the fact that the massive amount of memory requires more power). It would obviously be less if you are watching video/ playing games (not sure why you'd want to).

This iPod has been refurbished with quality new parts and will arrive with the protective plastic still in place so that it is scratch free.

Please note that the back although the back says 80GB this iPod is in fact 480GB with 446GB available for your music.

This iPod has been upgraded so that it runs on Rockbox. This enables you more freedom with how your iPod looks/works. It will come with lots of themes preloaded onto the iPod so that you can select your own personal look. The current theme (as you can see on the photos) is PodOne. Rockbox enables you to play FLAC files and has a 10 band EQ. It also increases the battery life and is more stable allowing it to run more smoothly with the higher capacity. However, it is important to note that this iPod will not work traditionally with iTunes. Instead you have to drag and drop your files onto it.
